BASIC AUDIO/VIDEO PRODUCTION

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL


 

Focus: For students to build on production skills covered in Introductory level, and use pre-production and post-production techniques.

EVALUATION:

1. A portfolio consisting of

*the proposal or story outline, the script/treatment and/or shot list

*an edit decision list, and a presentation describing the development of the project, the use of production elements (lighting, sound, etc.) And how these elements/techniques complement the content

*the completed project.                                                  80%

 

2. A presentation of knowledge of pre- and post-production techniques (e.g., 250 word report, 5-10 minute presentation, 30 question quiz).                                                                 20%

 

 

SKILLS COVERED:

  1. Develop an idea into the proposal, outline/story treatment planning, script and/or shot list stages
  2. Work in various audio/video production positions
  3. Identify audio/video production positions
  4. Produce an audio/video project
  5. Investigate careers in audio/video fields
  6. Use artificial and/or natural light in completing video project(s)
  7. Use sound in a creative manner
  8. Present work for feedback
  9. Use audio/video terminology as required
  10. Create a portfolio consisting of elements from the three stages of production.
