K'atl'odehche First Nation
K'atl'odehche First Nation is situated on the east bank of the Hay River at the southern reaches of the Great Slave Lake. As the only reserve in the NWT, the residents have sought to protect and enhance their traditional lifestyle, language and culture. The community has balanced tradition with growth and prosperity. K'atl'odehche boasts new infrastructure, including a band office, gas bar and store and a senior's complex, which complement emerging business ventures. Located only 20 kilometres from the town of Hay River, K'atl'odehche First Nation is within driving distance of most amenities. The educational needs of the community are served by the Chief Sunrise Education Centre (K-12).
